Delivery & Returns
Our office and warehouse will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Therefore orders placed on and between these days will not be processed until Tuesday the 6th. To ensure items are delivered in time for the Easter weekend, please order before 12 noon on Wednesday 31st of March and select the ‘Next Day’ delivery option.
Delivery & Order Issues
Should you experience any issues with your delivery or order in general, you can contact us on 0800 059 9918. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9-5pm, excluding public holidays.
Standard & Next Day Delivery
Grass Seed Online offers delivery at no additional cost on all our products to standard mainland UK locations as defined by our haulage providers. Our standard delivery is 2-3 working days. Products that are highlighted on the product page as ‘AVAILABLE FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY’ can be upgraded at the checkout to a next working day service. For next day delivery to be fulfilled, orders must be received by 12pm, for example:
- Order on Monday before 12pm and upgraded next day orders will be delivered on Tuesday
- Order on Monday after 12pm and upgraded next day orders will be delivered on Wednesday
Saturday and Sunday are not classed as working days. Therefore, a next day order placed on Friday before 12pm will be delivered on Monday. If Saturday delivery is required, this is available to orders placed before 12pm and must be selected in the checkout.
For orders which have been upgraded to a next day delivery that contain ‘available next day’ products and non-next day products, the available products will be despatched for next day delivery and the remaining products will follow on within 3-5 working days. If next day delivery is selected on products that are not available for next day service, Grass Seed Online shall contact you to advise of this and amend the order as required.
Important Notice - Dates and indicated times for delivery are approximate and Grass Seed Online cannot guarantee or be held responsible for delays in delivery dates or times.
Please allow sufficient lead time between order date and delivery time to prevent disappointment or any consequential loss resulting from a delayed delivery. Under no circumstances will Grass Seed Online be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred through delay in order fulfilment. For full details please refer to our Terms and Conditions.
Delivery Charges & Non-Standard Locations
Standard delivery is included in the price of the product to standard locations as deemed by Grass Seed Online’s haulage partners. Any additional haulage charges are clearly shown in the checkout once you have entered your address. Delivery options can be reviewed before payment is made. Our haulage partners make additional charges to deliver to the following postcodes:
The additional charges made to deliver to these locations are based upon the location and the exact weight of the order. If you have any questions on deliveries to these location please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be glad to help.
Channel Islands & Scilly Isles
At this time, we are unable to deliver to these locations as standard. Please contact us and we will be happy to provide a quotation.
Next Day Qualifying Postcodes
All areas of England, Wales and some areas of Scotland are available as next day locations, only on products that are clearly marked as AVAILABLE FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY. If the Customer qualifies as a next day location, the option will be clearly displayed once the Customer has input their delivery address into the checkout. Next day delivery incurs an additional charge which will be displayed in the checkout.
Our Haulage Providers
Grass Seed Online’s primary haulage partners are APC for orders up to approximately 120kg and Pallet Track for palletised consignments for orders of 120kg or more.
Normal Delivery Hours
Grass Seed Online’s hauliers will normally deliver between 8am and 5pm. APC will send an automated text message on the morning of the delivery to give an estimated time of arrival. For pallet deliveries, the haulier will be requested to contact the Customer prior to making the delivery.
Pallet deliveries – what to expect?
For orders of 120kg and above the delivery may be made using a pallet service. The delivery will be made using a lorry that is fitted with a tail lift and a pump truck. Please take note of the following:
- Please notify Grass Seed Online if access for a lorry is likely to cause an issue, for example narrow access. Grass Seed Online can then pass this information on to the haulier. For deliveries where access is an issue, it is left to the discretion of the driver as to how best to make the delivery.
- The driver will remove the pallet from the lorry using a tail lift and a pump truck. They will place the pallet where requested, provided it is reasonable and possible. The driver will not be able to operate the pump truck on certain surfaces, such as uneven ground, soft ground or gravel. In such circumstances they will place the pallet, with your consent, on a suitable surface as near as possible to your property.
- The driver is not responsible for unloading the goods off the pallet.
- The actual wooden pallet remains your property and will not be collected.
Goods that have been damaged in transit must be signed for as damaged and notified to us within 48 hours of delivery.
The Customer may return items purchased to Grass Seed Online within 14 days of purchase. To arrange a return please email email@example.com.
Returns and refunds are not available on bespoke seed mixtures.
When returning items, the Customer must arrange and pay for their own shipping, the products must be in a resalable condition and any seed packaging must not have been opened. Credits will not be issued until the goods have been received and inspected.
