Coastal Grass Seed

Our Coastal Grass Seed mixture can withstand drought and tolerate higher salt levels – which is ideal for lawns coastal locations. In addition to increased salt and drought tolerance, the mixture also contains hard wearing perennial ryegrass.

Coastal lawns can be very dry and as they are in very close proximity to the sea, they suffer from salt spray. Our Coastal Grass Seed mixture is designed to cope with these conditions, utilising species that can tolerate both dry and saline conditions. The grass seed types used in the mixture are able to cope with the more extreme conditions that can be experienced by coastal turf. Slender creeping red fescue is particularly suited to saline conditions; its Latin name 'litoralis' means 'shoreline'.
