Wet Soils Grass Seed

Grass seed for clay soils that often sit wet or suffer from occasional flooding. Sometimes a wet lawn is unavoidable, especially on a clay soil, so it makes perfect sense to select a grass seed mixture that will tolerate wet soil conditions.
Heavy clay soils are often saturated in the winter, but can rapidly turn bone dry in the summer. Our Wet Soils Grass Seed contains tall fescue which is deep rooted and extremely tolerant of this type of soil condition.

Dry Soils Grass Seed

Grass seed mixture for drought prone soils. In very light or sandy soils it can be a struggle to keep grass looking green without constant watering. Our Dry Soils Grass Seed uses tall fescue which is commonly used in areas of southern Europe and can tolerate extremes of heat and drought.
Tall fescue is incredibly deep rooted and will stay green significantly longer in drought conditions. Perennial ryegrass will germinate rapidly and can also tolerate and recover well from extended periods of dry weather.

Fast Grow Grass Seed is designed for rapid repair of all types of turf surface from family lawns to goalmouths on football pitches. Our fastest germinating grass seed mixture is also our best grass seed for germinating in the winter.
The annual ryegrass will germinate at soil temperatures as low as 3.5°C, making it perfect for repairing football or rugby pitches during the winter.

Coastal Grass Seed

Coastal lawns can be very dry and as they are in very close proximity to the sea, they suffer from salt spray. Our Coastal Grass Seed mixture is designed to cope with these conditions, utilising species that can tolerate both dry and saline conditions.
The grass seed types used in the mixture are able to cope with the more extreme conditions that can be experienced by coastal turf. Slender creeping red fescue is particularly suited to saline conditions; its Latin name 'litoralis' means 'shoreline'.

Airfield Grass Seed

Formulated to be sown on areas surrounding airport runways, our Airfield Grass Seed discourages birds and helps to reduce the likelihood of aircraft birdstrikes. The mixture contains tall fescue, cocksfoot, timothy and crested dogstail which produce stiff, upright growth when maintained to a height of 150mm. This upright growth makes it difficult for birds to land.
For grass seed for grass runways, we would recommend a wear tolerant amenity grass seed mixture, such as our Hardwearing Grass Seed.
Airfield Grass Seed is available only in 20kg bags.
